The top 3 finalists and winners in 131 Best of The Best Awards categories were announced Thursday night. On Friday, a commemorative winner’s book will be published in Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô. The winner’s book will also appear next Wednesday in the Stateline Messenger and on Friday in the Milton Courier. Attendees Thursday night received a complimentary copy of the winner’s book.

“But this event is not just about winning. It’s about having fun and bringing the business community together through networking, celebrating achievements and sharing in the joy of mutual success,� Lauber said. “Congratulations on your remarkable accomplishments and cheers to each of you continuing to make great impacts on our community.�

Lauber also highlighted Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô’s 180th birthday celebration, underway this year.

“On Aug. 14, Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô celebrated 180 years of covering the people, businesses, and institutions that define our community. To mark this milestone, we’re publishing a weekly series that honors influential Janesville residents, one for each decade we’ve been in business.â€�

The series is running every Thursday into mid-December and will culminate in a special commemorative edition, showcasing each of the weekly honorees plus many additional stories about Janesville residents “who have also made a difference in our community over the decades,� Lauber said.

Â鶹ӳ»­Ó°Òô’s 180th birthday celebration is made possible by PremierBank, who was in attendance Thursday night, Lauber noted.
