Jay’vion Hill’s senior football season at Janesville Parker High School changed after the team’s first scrimmage.

Hill had caught 10 passes as a junior at wide receiver and expected to be lined up in the slot on offense and play a big role in the Vikings’ passing game.

Then fellow senior Jadyn Fraiser suffered a knee injury in a preseason scrimmage. Fraiser was the team’s top returning running back.

EDGERTON — Trey Smith's goal in the 78th minute salvaged a 2-2 tie for Lake Mills versus host Edgerton in nonconference boys soccer on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on Aron Baena's goal, then pushed ahead 2-0 in the 39th minute on Samuel Rojas-Ceron's goal.

LAKE MILLS — Senior Aisiah Chaudhary’s goal in the 15th minute proved decisive as Lakeside Lutheran edged visiting Evansville 1-0 in nonconference boys soccer on Tuesday.

Chaudhary converted off a low cross from sophomore Jacob Stempski, slotting the ball into the corner to give the Warriors (2-1) the lead they held the rest of the way.

BELOIT — The Beloit Sky Carp outhit the Peoria Chiefs 7-5 Wednesday night, including three by shortstop Aiva Arquette, but they came up empty where it counted the most and dropped a 5-0 decision at ABC Supply Stadium.
